Transmog

Change how your gear looks without changing its stats. The appearance collection is account-wide, the costume itself is free, and saved outfits are part of the UI.

Status: LIVE — transmogrification is enabled, free, and uses the account-wide collection system. Disabled: portable transmog.

At a glance

  • Free: no copper cost, no scaling cost, no token requirement.
  • Account-wide collection: appearances unlock for the whole account when acquired.
  • All qualities: poor, common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary, artifact, and heirloom appearances are allowed.
  • Broad mixing: mixed armor types, mixed weapon types, mixed offhand armor, lower-tier appearances, and hidden slots are enabled.
  • Requirements relaxed: race, class, skill, spell, level, event, and stat requirements are ignored for appearance use.
  • Enchant visuals: supported weapon enchant looks can be applied separately.
  • Saved sets: up to 50 outfits.
  • Portable transmog: Disabled. It is a Plus feature and Plus is off.

How to use

  1. Acquire items. Appearances are collected when you acquire an item. The collection is retroactive, so items you already earned count.
  2. Open the UI. Type /transmog (or /tmog, /transmogrify, /transmogrification). If the window is already open, the command closes it.
  3. Pick a slot. Select the equipment slot you want to change. The UI shows collected appearances that can go in that slot.
  4. Preview, then apply. The preview is client-side; the server validates the change. There is no cost.
  5. Save outfits. Use the set controls to save up to 50 looks. Sets are free. You can apply a saved set to all matching slots at once.
  6. Hide a slot if you prefer. Hidden transmog is allowed and free. This is useful for cloaks, helms, or bulky shoulders.
  7. Add an enchant look. If the UI offers enchant visuals, choose a supported weapon enchant appearance. This changes the visual, not the actual enchant.
  8. Sync if the collection looks stale. /transmog sync asks the server for your account collection and refreshes the client list.

Transmog does not change item stats, item level, durability, sockets, enchants, or requirements.

The appearance UI is the practical access point. Warpweaver is the custom transmogrifier used by the module data; do not assume a fixed city spawn. If a vendor interaction is required and no transmogrifier is nearby, ask staff to confirm placement.

Tips

  • Collect while leveling. Every quest reward, dungeon drop, and vendor green can add appearances, even if you cannot equip it.
  • Check the set list before building a look piece by piece. A saved set applies the whole outfit in one action.
  • Use hidden slots deliberately. A hidden cloak or helm can make a costume look much cleaner, and it costs nothing.
  • Enchant visuals are separate from real enchants. You can change the glow without losing your actual weapon enchant.
  • The collection is account-wide, but the active costume is per character. Your alts can use the same appearances, but their outfits are their own.
  • If an appearance is missing after a transfer or restore, run /transmog sync before asking staff. The client cache can lag behind the server.
  • Portable transmog is not a thing here. Do not buy or plan around it.
